Tri-City Community Foundation
The Tri-City area of Foley, Gulf Shores and Orange Beach has a unique history that has molded each community into what is represents today. Individually, these communities have distinct attributes for which they are, and should be, proud. Collectively, these communities have time and time again demonstrated the strength, resilience and commitment to persevere through any adversity – from hurricanes to oil spills.
In August 2018, local leaders from Foley, Gulf Shores and Orange Beach who recognized the value of joining resources and talents to make south Baldwin County a strong, vibrant community established the Tri-City Community Foundation as an affiliate of The Community Foundation of South Alabama to serve as a vehicle to receive donations and bequests to benefit the community.
Serving as an advisory committee, the group established an endowed fund and is dedicated to supporting initiatives that inspire and promote resiliency within their communities. “We have always worked together. But we want to maintain that focus to showcase the strength and commitment of these three cities,” said advisory committee chair, Michelle Hodges. “We believe our success is largely reflective of our innate ability to come together and work in unison for the overall well-being and progression of our tri-city area. I am proud to be a member of our tri-city community, and proud to be a part of this local Foundation paving the way for future funding that will serve our home for generations to come.”
The Tri-City Community Foundation was founded in 2018 by a group of Foley, Gulf Shores and Orange Beach citizens. As an affiliate of The Community Foundation of South Alabama, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization, we accept a wide variety of tax-deductible contributions, such as cash, appreciated stocks, real estate or other assets.
Tri-City Community Foundation’s Community Impact
Since its founding, the Tri-City Community Foundation has awarded over $63,000 to organizations serving the local community. These organizations have created projects and programs that tackle specific areas including Health, Education and Human Services. The Tri-City Advisory Committee, with years of experience and a wealth of knowledge on local needs, determined that funding will support the following prioritiy areas: Arts, Community Development, Education, Health, Human Services, Recreation, Technology, or Youth.

Apply for grants
The Tri-City Community Foundation uses an online application for its competitive grant programs. Nonprofit organizations and grantees will use the grant application portal to apply for grants and submit required documents and reports. All grant efforts will directly benefit the local Tri-City community.
